A contemporary interpretation of traditional craft-led furniture, designed to merge the raw structural stability of Burma Teak with the refined precision of Koftgari metal inlay. The concept stems from consolidating playful modular blocks into a disciplined 4×4 square grid, where the final form is refined through subtraction and surface articulation.

Koftgari is a traditional Indian metal inlay technique in which fine gold or silver wire is embedded into iron or steel surfaces. The base metal is first roughened with small cross-hatched cuts; thin precious metal wires are then carefully hammered into these grooves. Originating in Mughal India, historically used to decorate swords, armour, and ceremonial objects.
