Hinchko
Hinchko by Apurva Amin presents nine limited-edition interpretations of the hinchka — the traditional Indian swing. Each piece in this collection is an engineering proposition as much as a cultural object: a deliberate reexamination of motion, balance, and the mechanics of rest. Drawing from Gujarati and Kathmandu vernacular traditions, the works employ teak, brass, stainless steel, and handwoven textiles to ask what it means to sit still in a moving world.
